In August, Staff and Service users from Recovery Care met at the Clayton hotel in Cardiff to host a talent competition to showcase the hidden talents of some of the staff and Service Users.
Acts ranged from poetry reading, dancing, rapping and singing.
The day proved very enjoyable for all involved. There was a great turnout from both Services Users, staff and family members.
Much amusement was provided by Andrea Williams, Director of Recovery care & also from Barry ,who compared the event impersonating Nessa from the hit Tv series “Gavin & Stacey.” Whilst, fellow Director, Conor Rooney acted as Simon Cowell in deciding who the winner would be.
This was a great opportunity for services users, staff and friends and family to socialise and have a fun day out. The winner on the day was treated to a meal for two at the Clayton hotel .
Recovery Care is a Local ,Welsh ,Supported Living organisation, supporting nearly sixty individuals .Conor Rooney, Director, said; “The company prides itself on its personal approach, its focus on positive risk taking and the importance laughter plays in helping people in their journey of recovery and this event certainly provided plenty of laughter.”
